Understanding the unspoken rules of the Canadian workplace culture is essential if you are applying for a new job or if you already got one. This workshop explores a strategic approach for an effective transition to employment empowering you to be successful on your first day, on your first week, on your probation period and beyond.

Topics such as: Job retention, on-the-job learning curve, employment on-boarding process, workers’ rights and responsibilities; and how to position yourself for advancement are an integral part of the session.

Career Planning – Day 1, Dec. 14, 2017, 9am-4pm

The Career Planning Workshop is a 2 day session of instruction and group exercises consisting of personality, interest, and skills and work environment assessments. The sessions also include workshops on motivation, goal setting and managing change and transition. It is specifically designed to assist you in:

• Second Career decision making
• Making a career change
• Starting your first career
• Learning your strengths and opportunities
• Understanding what you would be good at
• Building your confidence & career knowledge
