Finance Officer

Name of Position:  Finance Officer

Location of work:  Markham, ON

Job Description:  You will process and prepare invoices for the recurring and project-based clients, resolving any discrepancies related to vendor or client invoices

Compensation: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year plus benefits

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Terms of Employment: Full Time/ 8 hrs a day. Work remotely: Temporarily due to COVID-19

Description of employer One of the leading digital media company offering services in email marketing, video marketing, content design and SEO.

 

Responsibilities: This includes the followings but not limited to:

•  You will process and prepare invoices for our recurring and project-based clients, resolving any discrepancies related to vendor or client invoices
•  You will track financial data ensuring that it’s up to date and properly formatted for billing, tracking, and data analysis purposes
•  You will follow up on accounts for timely collection and problem-solve for overdue balances. This will involve collaborating with other teams to ensure services are restricted where required
•  You will assist leadership in the development of budgets and cash flow analysis to adequately invest in the growth of the operations
•  You will manage, maintain and track the financial aspects of the company
•  You will create monthly reports on finances and budgets for analysis
•  You will update all finance sheets accordingly to maintain and update the company cashflow

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS – All applicants must meet the following:

•  Bachelor Degree in Economic, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other relevant program.
•  1 – 3 years core finance or book keeping experience
•  Experience in Wave, Stripes, and Fresh books is an asset
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to deal with individuals sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times
•  An appreciation for detail and deadlines
•  Outstanding time management and organization skills
•  Intermediate level in MS Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Sheets
•  A high degree of professional integrity, ethics, and confidentiality

 

EXPERIENCE:

•  bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
•  billing: 1 year (Preferred)
