Name of Position:  Forklift Operator – Counterbalance

Location of work:  Tottenham

Job Description:  Urgently recruiting for an automotive manufacturing company located in Tottenham, Ontario, nearest intersection 5th line and Wolfe Avenue, specializing in stamping, welding, painting, and assembling automotive parts for 30 years. Seeking Counterbalance Forklift Truck Operators Workers, flexible to work rotating shifts (Day and afternoon).

Compensation: $17.50 per hour with paid training

Benefits:

• Wage progression up to $19.00 per hour after 3 monthly reviews
• Company paid health and dental benefits
• 3 complimentary shut down days off after completing 500 hours
• Company provided uniforms and company reimbursed safety footwear

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Clean safe work environment with additional comprehensive Covid-19 Precautions in place. Daily self-directed screening questionnaire and daily temperature screening. All employees, contractors and visitors are required to wear masks. Common surfaces sanitized regularly, with hand sanitizer and extra hand washing stations available

Description of employer: The Employer is an automotive manufacturing company located in Tottenham, Ontario, specializing in stamping, welding, painting, and assembling automotive parts for 30 years.

Responsibilities: This includes the followings but not limited to:

• Manage logistics of all products (location, flow of goods) to ensure proper storage and avoidance of congestion
• Follow all maintenance procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment
• Participate in all mandatory training classes
• Report all incidents, accidents, unsafe work conditions, problems or concerns immediately to Supervisor
• Consistently maintain a clean and organized work area
• Comply with all company safety requirements, policies, business, and safety practices always
• Other duties as required Duties as otherwise assigned

Job Requirements – All applicants must meet the following without exception:

Job Requirements – All applicants must meet the following without exception:
• Counterbalance Forklift licence
• 1 year counterbalance forklift experience
• Clean drivers abstract
• Able to conduct and document daily forklift checks
• Lift up to 50lbs.
• Capable of counting accurately and preparing related paperwork
• High School graduate
• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehousing environment (asset)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Qualitative abilities, including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and effective problem-solving skills
• Team player, willing and able to learn new products, concepts, and techniques
• Able to work independently in a result-driven, fast-paced environment
• Safety boots
• Must be able to work rotating shifts (Day 7am – 3pm, Aft 3pm -11pm)
